Shooting in Tyrol, Austria

January 2017 started with a great filmic project, but the blue sky is deceiving: -13 °C (about 8°F),  every piece of equipment had to be hand-carried up! Worst of all, we knew a storm was coming in! And rushing in high altitude is a challenge, believe me!

High speed winds (see the ties of my sunglasses are flying about) gave us a hard time.

Something always happens. The cable car had to undergo unexpected technical inspection; we got off and used the site for first great images. No time to lose!

Halloween in France

Fabulous blue skies in Alsace..

Long hikes under the last golden leaves of autumn. What a gift!

A few days from now they´ll all be gone for this year.

The forest is my favorite artist!

We ate many fresh mushrooms. Not these ones, though.

Good bye autumn. We are now waiting for the first snow to arrive....

Three films for BAYER shot in USA

End of April we finished these three films for BAYER, shot on location in Kansas, Colorado and Florida. These films come hand in hand with a print campaign, which featured the same protagonists. There are several versions of the films, these are the 60 second cut downs. Avery rewarding project. We met great people on the road and we are grateful for their collaboration.

I have chosen my favorite one. If you want to see more, click here.

Almost like Otherworld….

Greetings my dear friends from France, where I am spending a little outtime.

Have a nice „Karneval“ season, don´t overdo it!

Merry Christmas

Hello my friends,

I wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope that you can spend the days in peace.

Here in Germany we are in a process of learning to share with many people who lost their homes in political and religious upheavals. I am very proud of my fellow countrymen, because it is working out very well.

Let us share, we all have too much of everything and too little love.

The poem is by Rose Ausländer and says: (in my translation):

we live word to word

tell me your favorite one, friend

mine is "you"

Shooting in Switzerland

We caught the last sunny days in the mountains!  Three different locations in three days, great job everybody! Thanking my Swiss and German crew. The film will be ready shortly.

Gold in Cannes...

We are honored to have received a Gold Medal at the 6th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards 2015.  Again I thank my producers at facts & fiction and my wonderful crew.

If you would like to see the film:  Click here

We won another medal! The trophée d´argent á Deauville

Another big thank you to my crews and to my producers and to our Kazahk clients. What a wonderful experience!!!!

The Deauville festival is fairly new (4th year). It concentrates on films with "green" content. I have seen extraordinary films there on shocking issues.  We submitted our film announcing the World Expo 2017 in Kasachstan on Future Energy. And the jury heard the message...

It´s quite a trip to get to Deauville. Train to Paris, cross town to another station and then ride another train to Normandy...Glad to have arrived!

The real "glitz" of Deauville seems to have vanished over time, but it is still very charming.

The festival headquarter.

The Entree to the awards...

At the Gala. Honoroured to have the Premiere Secrétaire, Yerbol Sarypbekov, of the Kazakh Embassy Paris at my side during the event.

Location Scouting

Für neue Filmideen bin ich immer auf der Suche nach interessanten Location. Hier im südlichen Sauerland habe ich einen gefunden mit großartigen Views und perfektem Licht in den frühen Studen des Nachmittags bis zum Sonnenuntergang.
